  • Bamboo

    Because it grows back.

    Bamboo is one of the fastest-growing plants on earth. It does not require replanting
    after harvest. It does not require pesticides. In your hand, it is warm - not
    because of how it looks, but because of what it is: a material that was alive
    recently, that has grain and memory, that conducts neither static nor cold.

    When you throw away a plastic brush, it outlives you by four centuries. When you finish with a bamboo one, it returns to where it came from.

  • Indian Sandalwood

    Because some things should improve with age.

    Indian sandalwood has been used in personal care for thousands of years - not as a trend, but as a material that delivers an experience no synthetic alternative has ever replicated.     We use natural goat hair only in the newborn brush - and the reason is categorical. No synthetic fiber has ever matched the fineness, softness, and scalp response of natural goat hair. On skin this new, this sensitive, this specific - nothing else is acceptable.

  • Natural Squirrel Hair

    Because the physics cannot be faked.

    Natural squirrel hair is the preferred bristle material of professional makeup artists
